Sears Announces Black Friday Now 2010 Sales Event

sears-black-friday-nowOn  Friday and Saturday (October 29th and 30th), Sears will be having a "Black Friday Now" sale. This sale may not be a full-blown Black Friday sale, but we do expect to see some possible good deals.  More Black Friday sales will most likely be happening through the month of November. Last year,  Amazon.com, Walmart,  and Best Buy offered one-day sales that take place up to 3-4 weeks before Black Friday. Additionally, Sears, Kmart, and Kohl's will most likely hold their annual Friends & Family VIP sales in the middle of November.  These sales feature similar discounts to their Black Friday doorbuster deals.  Keep on the lookout for these Black Friday like deals and more.

Black Friday 2010 Ads Earlier Than Usual

Black Friday 2010 doesn’t officially start until Mid-November, but U.S. retailers, including Sears, have already begun announcing upcoming weekend sales.

Traditionally, Black Friday is the start of the Christmas shopping season as a very large number of retailers offer big discounts on a variety of products. Retailers such as Best Buy, Macy’s, Toys “R” Us, Walmart, K-Mart and Target open very early at 5AM or even earlier. Upon opening, they offer doorbuster deals and loss leaders to bring people to their stores.

Sears isn't actually calling it a "Black Friday" sale, but it is suggesting that it is a "Pre-Black Friday" sale. A variety of "Black Friday" type product deals will be available.

As an additional incentive, for every item you buy, they are promoting "double" Sears Xtra points. The Sears sale will begin on October 29th, and will end on October 30th.
